Field Tested: 24 Hours with the Taylor Stitch Maritime Shirt Jacket
A few weeks ago, I was given the opportunity to test out some new product from one of my favorite brands, Taylor Stitch. I received the two colorways of their Maritime Shirt Jacket in Navy and Ash.
Frame by: Vallen Alexander
The jacket is made with a 19 oz. Italian boiled lambswool. I was blown away by how sturdy it is compared to the photos I had seen of it. It is much closer to an outwear piece than as a shirt.
Due to its warmth and water-resistance, lambswool has for centuries been turned to to outfit even the most extreme expeditioners. (It’ll absorb twice its weight in water before reaching its saturation point; on a rainy day, it’s worth its weight in gold.)
